I attended the Smart Factory Expo 2024 on 5–6 June. Below are a few highlights and photos from the event.
The Smart Manufacturing Week festival brings together manufacturing and engineering professionals to explore practical innovation across hardware, software and integrated solutions. Although the event developed into a broader festival by 2026, for 2025 the focus was already clear: hands-on demonstrations, case studies on automation and robotics, and deep-dive sessions on digital manufacturing strategies that deliver productivity gains on the shop floor.
At the 2024 expo I saw a strong emphasis on robotics, asset management and digital twins — solutions aimed at improving reliability and reducing downtime. The show’s mix of exhibition, technical theatre and networking events makes it a useful place to see vendor roadmaps, attend practical workshops, and connect with peers tackling similar implementation challenges.
Overall, Smart Factory Expo 2024 provided valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies shaping the future of manufacturing, along with opportunities to engage with industry experts and innovators.
